Wheelie Fun joins Project Velo

http://www.wheeliefun.com/

Wheelie Fun joins Project Velo as a partner! I think this means that I will be buying a Felt soon....
Wheelie Fun will also be in charge of fitting me to my road bike and TT bike. Should be 'fun' for them.

Oh never mind

Since I wrote that last post; my trip to Michigan was canceled and I've ridden twice (both inside but oh well).

Oh do I love 10 minute intervals........

blah

Apparently, I have no time or energy anymore to ride. Well really it's when I have the time, I have no energy. When I have the energy I have no time. Blogging will be none existent until I ride again.

See you in 2009. Time for bed.

The weak in review

Yep, getting tired of Spinervals. Last week I ordered yet another dvd, this time it's the Uphill Grind. I had this on VHS back in the day but gave it away a few years ago when my VCR went kaboom. Anyway, Uphill Grind has 6 women cyclists, so that already is an upgrade from Cycling Fitness Results dvd. It's only 45 minutes, but if you play it twice...well that's an hour and a half.

My cycling program went like this the past seven days:

20.64 miles
23.17 miles
23.75 miles
20.63 miles
off
27 miles
15.22 miles (today)

The only day I didn't do long intervals was the off day, duh, and yesterday where it was 1.5 hours of just endurance riding.

Where in the world did I muster the mental toughness (and ass toughness) to ride for 3+ hours last year????

Big news coming. Waiting for official word that I'm allowed to let the cat out of the bag. Stay tuned.

Hellard Design has announced that they will continue to sponsor the Project Velo Racing team through the 2009 season.

The Dayton, Ohio architectural/civil design firm has been a sponsor of the team since it's inception in 2007.

"Even with the current economic situation, it's important for us to continue our sponsorship and support the riders of this team and the sport of cycling in general." Says Bryan Hellard, owner of Hellard Design.

What is there to report...

...when all you're doing is long intervals on the trainer? I can't exactly tell stories of seeing great sites or climbing big hills or going fast while I'm impatiently waiting out the winter on the trainer.

The first "race" of the year IS only 5.5 weeks away though. So I have that to look forward to. A race, on a trainer.
